Mission History and Goals
MRI was launched in April 2003. It was birthed from the vision of David Ketchum, President and Founder. During the years he was owner and manager of several small businesses, he spent time overseas involved with mission ministries. After seeing the needs and hearing the desires of the people, David committed to developing and establishing a faith-based economic development organization that provides start-up capital and mentoring for Business as Mission initiatives.
In 2007...
- MRI aspires to assist more entrepreneurs in their struggle for financial freedom and independence.
- More mentors and coaches need to come alongside to encourage and train these new business owners.
- MRI is exploring and developing relationships with other organizations to eliminate duplication of services and maximize efficient use of financial, human, and in kind resources.
- To meet the needs and build capacity, MRI has set forth a strategic plan of growth and strength.
