In developing countries we find unemployment rates ranging from 30 – 70 percent. 2.8 billion people live on less than $2.00 per day. Fifty percent of the world’s population is under the age of 25. In the next 20 years, 3 billion young people will enter the marketplace looking for employment. Thus, we can never meet some of the most critical needs of the world unless we address the area of economic development along with poverty.
